Social Media Bootcamps 2013
October 17th, 2013
Do you need a kick in your…..Social Media? If you answered yes then you should attend one of the upcoming Social Media Bootcamps travelling around the province. Victoria BC is very lucky as every May brings not only incredible floral displays but the equally visually stimulating Social Media Camp. This has become the largest social media event in Canada! But wait, there’s more…..
The guys behind this great event (Chris & Paul – their country album will be released next summer) have also put together a number of one-day workshops in select cities during the fall.
Anyone and everyone who needs, likes or just has to use Social Media should try to make it to Social Media Camp in May. Of course the organizers realize that there are folks who just can’t attend the big conference because they must attend their mother in-laws’ birthday (been there). Well for all of you they have taken the show on the road and these one day bootcamps will give you access to some of the great knowledge and training that Social Media Camp offers.
This season they are very excited to present an enhanced series with new partners (like Csek Creative in Kelowna), exciting speakers and some fantastic hands-on training opportunities! Check out some of the fantastic speakers (each bootcamp has a different line-up of speakers); Steve Dotto, Dotto Tech, Jennifer Gill, Experiential Learning Manager, Dave Zille and Nolan Walker, Systematized.ca, Terry Rachwalski, President of Amplified Services, Tartan PR, Sean Smith, That Social Media Guy, Don Power, Don Power.COM Social Media Consulting, Chris Burdge, CEO, bWEST Communications (he really does speak Japanese ), Paul Holmes, Co-Producer, MySocial Productions (he really does speak english), Melonie Dodaro, Canada’s #1 LinkedIn Expert.
Dates and locations for the individual camps:
- Victoria – Saturday, October 19th, University of Victoria
- Nanaimo – Monday, October 28th, Vancouver Island Conference Centre
- Burnaby – Monday, November 4th, Simon Fraser Room at Accent Inn Burnaby
- Kamloops – Saturday, November 16th, Thomson Rivers University
- Kelowna – Wednesday, November 19, Rotary Centre for the Arts
For intermediate users, this is a chance to pick up some tips and meet some leaders in the field. For beginners, this is an excellent opportunity to learn platforms and strategies as you tackle this important field. It’s also an excellent primer for Social Media Camp in May, 2014, where there will be 2 solid days of beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions with speakers from across North America.
Book your seat now for one of these great sessions and remember, if you need a room, Accent Inns is the favorite choice for Social Media Camp around the province (and not just because we re-tweet them).
