Accent Inns BC Hotel Sales team heads north by RV

Recently the Accent Inns sales team, Donna Price, Helen Wright, Julia Fraser and Kim Jones set out on a 3,000 km journey to re-position 2 Fraserway RV camper trucks from Vancouver to Whitehorse, making sales calls along the way.

First of all we would like to thank Fraserway RV for setting us up in their lovely brand new truck and campers, our homes away from home!  The 2011 Ford 450 Supercab trucks were not only spacious and comfortable but they were very easy for us large truck novice gals to drive! (and the talk of the towns as we rolled in.)

Our first town for sales calls was 100 Mile House, a quaint little town in BC’s Interior.  Here is where the comments starting pouring in (mostly from men folk) on how nice the units were and what a great thing for 4 women to be doing!  Mostly we got, “You’re from where and are doing what???” Wow!  That is awesome!

We carried on our way sharing our information about our wonderful BC hotels on up north stopping in Williams Lake, Quesnel, Dawson Creek, Hudson Hope, Chetwind, Fort St John, Fort Nelson on up to our final destination of Whitehorse.

What struck us the most, other than the giant sized mosquitoes, was the outstanding hospitality and friendliness of the folks in the towns we passed through. In addition, our fellow campers from the US and various other places we met along the way were equally hospitable and down to earth. Fantastic!!

The scenery is amazing and the wildlife sightings, bear, moose, elk, mountain sheep to name a few, make the long drive especially enjoyable especially when they seemed to ‘pose’ for a photo op!

Some Interesting wildlife indeed,on the road to the north

The trip took us a week to complete.  As it was a business trip, we hurried along to get to the next town to tell everyone who would listen all about the comfy rooms at the Accent Inns 5 BC hotel locations.  If you are making the trip on a holiday, we would recommend at least 10 days for travel up to give you time to appreciate the people and the beauty. If you fly back, always remember a great place to stay for your stopover and leave your car, is the Accent Inn Vancouver Airport.  Double the time if you are returning by road to take time and really enjoy the beautiful big country there is to see.
