VICTORIA HOTEL CHAIN JOINS WITH THE LAND CONSERVANCY TO SAVE BC’S SPECIAL PLACES

January 20th, 2009

VICTORIA, B.C.- Members of TLC The Land Conservancy can sleep easy with Accent Inns as $5.00 of their room rate will go back into protecting B.C.’s natural areas, historic sites, and agricultural lands.

As part of a new business partnership, Accent Inns through their InnAid Program will not only be donating $5.00 from all TLC Member room rates back to the non-profit land trust, but Members will additionally receive a special discount rate to stay at any of their five hotels located in Victoria, Richmond, Burnaby, Kelowna and Kamloops.

“Every business needs to think about how they can help build a sustainable future, and Accent Inns are doing their part,” says TLC’s Executive Director, Bill Turner. “This partnership not only helps our Members during these economic times, but contributes to our goal to protecting special places in B.C. We look forward to exploring other conservation initiatives in the future with Accent Inns.”

This unique relationship first began two years ago, when Accent Inns started providing accommodations to TLC staff traveling throughout the province on work. Now, Accent Inns is also TLC’s latest Business Advantage Program affiliate – a program that brings together local businesses with TLC in mutually beneficial partnerships.

“Building business and building community go hand in hand, so we are pleased to support the conservation efforts of The Land Conservancy,” says Mandy Farmer, CEO of Accent Inns. “Last year, our InnAid program at Accent Inns supported more than 230 charitable, non-profit and community organizations.”

The award-winning Accent Inns is a family-owned and operated company based in Victoria, British Columbia. All Accent Inns are rated 31/2 star and have developed a reputation for their accent on quality, reasonable rates and excellent service. www.accentinns.com
